Howdy all!
All right, sorry, this will probably be a short one. Not too much going on this week…..
Not really anything has happened of interest this week. Our work is nearly out. We’ve got one sort of investigator at the moment. That’s pretty much it. A bit of work with the less actives as well, but nothing too peticular. I think this is going to be one of the first times I really welcome transfers. I still have another three weeks, but I’m ready to move on from this area to be honest. The only thing I’d miss is one of the recent converts going through the temple, which would be cool, but at the same rate, I’m a little burned out of the area at the moment. That’s true of all the other missionaries in the ward at the moment as well. We’ve all been here for four to six months, and things aren’t moving. The ward is really in need of a boost in general. On Sunday, we had a combined meeting and someone from the high council came and gave a training on cleaning the building. Everyone complained. Immediately after the training, they ignored what had just been taught, and left the missionaries to clean up all the rooms!
Well, I’d rather not focus on the negative. It sounds like a lot of things are going on at home. Let Brigham know that with work….. I was going to lie and say everything will be fine, but as a missionary, I must be honest and I’ll say that everything will be at least manageable. Don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff. Tell the love birds that I haven’t heard from them in ages, and my older sister only gets married once! (ps, you’ll love the temple!)
Time for some questions!
Have you ever gotten your bikes running yet and do you use them? Yes and no. Some other Elders in the zone use them now, they need them more.
What do you do on P-days? Mostly, we’ve been going to a place called Simos Beach, but hopefully today we’ll go play some basketball.
Can you hang in there until the next transfer? Probably. I’ve only got 10 and a half months left to go, I don’t think I’ll give up now, eh?
Do you have any funny stories to tell? A guy walked into a bar and said “Ow”(just for you Brigham). Actually, some funny stuff, I’m picking up the guitar, and the elder who’s teaching me wants to learn piano, so I’ve taught him the stuff I know.
Well, things have been good. We’ll talk to you soon!
