Howdy!
How’s it going everyone? It’s been a bit of a tough week down here. We didn’t have any appointments with investigators again this week, so we’ve been doing a lot of street contacting and a bit of door knocking. Our only potential at the moment is an anglican minister. He said we could come back, but we’ll be pushed on our biblical knowledge. Hoping for some miracles soon. But that’s the boring part of the week. This week with Easter was great. We had a recent convert fireside after church, and it was absolutely fantastic. Church was great too. Our bishopric got really on top of the ward for not helping out the missionary work though. They played president Ucktdorfs talk “Are you sleeping through the restoration?”, and then said that they needed more help from the members. It’s been a bit hard, knowing that I’m supposed to be teaching full time, but we’re literally finding full time. But church was great, and I am so grateful for the powerful testimonies of the recent converts at the fireside. After the fireside, we were loaded up with so much cake, we don’t have any more room for normal groceries in the fridge! Cake for breakfast! (sorry mom, we actually didn’t want to take it all, the members just kind of forced it on us). We’re hoping to see some new investigators pop up this week so we don’t have to spend so much time finding. Especially because finding becomes ineffective when it gets dark, and it gets dark at about 6:00 down here.
I realize that the above summary of my week is pretty shallow, but it’s pretty much it. Love you all heaps!
