“Loving it all!”

Howdy all!

It’s been a good week in the down under. I’ve been sleeping on the zone leaders floor for the last five days, been caught in pouring rain, kicked out of a public event by security and loving it all!

Good to hear that everything back home is going well. Like I said it’s been a really good week over here. We have an investigator on date for baptism for April 12th! And another investigator who I’m pretty sure will accept the date next week! And another investigator who really wants to come to church! Granted, two of the three things happened while I was on exchanges this week, but it’s still really exiting. I can’t wait to see what happens, and I hope I’ll be around another transfer to see it come together!

Exchanges this week were fantastic. I have some of the best missionaries in the world in my district. Exchanges is why I’ve been at the zone leaders so much, they’re really central to everything so we stay there for exchanges and such. I got to go on exchanges with one of our zone leaders as well, and that was awesome. We started the day looking for one of the families they’ve started to teach, but they weren’t home, so we were about to head back to the flat for lunch when we saw some huge event going on in the park. We went to check it out and see if we could teach anyone there, and we were there for about twenty minutes (we had passed out some material by this point) when a lady walked up to us. She told us that because we had not booked a venue, we could not pass out material and promptly told us to leave. So we did. It was a great day over all though, we were able to talk to another group of Muslims (I’m not entirely sure, but I think they have some sort of things going on where they try to stop missionaries and talk to them to try to convert them, it’s happened a couple of times now.) Anyway, we had a good discussion and I think we won their respect. It was pretty cool! As for the other group my companion and I met, my companion is a bit hesitant to go back, and I can see why. They don’t seem like they’re as interested in listening to us as having us listen to them, so we haven’t really gone back yet.

As for what shoes are worn, it’s the Mister Mac ones. I’ve been wearing both, but I had broken those in more, so I tended to pick them up when we had to walk long distances, so they in turn, are a lot more worn. Still wearable though. I’ve decided to man up and use the missionary mall ones for now, they’re a lot more durable. As for p-days, we’re allowed to go basically in the zone. You do have to have a reason for leaving your area, so you can’t just wander off there without having anything planned, but if you have a reason, you can go anywhere in the zone. A lot of missionaries come to our area to do emails.

Mom, I should probably tell you that doing exiting things for P-day is not nearly as easy as it sounds. Catching up on sleep is definitely one of the things that basically needs to happen. It may not sound exiting, but that’s usually what we need to do to be able to keep up with the work. We do some fun things, don’t get me wrong, but all things considered, we don’t have a “day of rest” so to speak, so most of the time, just relaxing is a great P-day activity.

Anyway, love you all, I’m keeping you all in my prayers.
